The lost "Raiders of the Lost Ark" action figure wave has been unearthed for collectors thanks to a smart move that made all six figures in the previously cancelled set available all at once -- with the release of "The Lost Wave"

Hasbro made the set available to attendees at the San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend, and more sets went on sale at HasbroToyShop.com Tuesday. In additon to an Indiana Jones figure with a Fertility Idol -- Toht, Marion Ravenwood (dress version), Indiana Jones (German soldier version), Satipo and the German Mechanic have been released to commemorate the 30th anniversary of "Raiders," and they do not disappoint. In fact, they stand up next to the "Temple of Doom" wave as the best sculpted wave of the entire line -- which was launched in 2008 with the release of "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull."

While the packaging of "The Lost Wave" set reflects the 30th anniversary, there are some other noticable differences. Gone in each package is the secret "crate" that contains a hidden treasure for fans to enjoy, but in its place is a cool, stylized base with that takes the shape of the "Indiana Jones" logo. Plus, each release has its fair share of accessories to compliment the character from different scenes in the film.

Each character is pictured on the back of the action figure set's packaging. Here, the German Mechanic, played by stuntman and professional wrestler Pat Roach, is pictured in his fighting pose before the character gets his face removed by a propellor. This is easily one of the best figure in the set, thanks to its smooth posabilty and fantastic likeness of Roach.

Karen Allen's Marion Ravenwood figure finally does the actress some justice after her bland-looking initial release in the first "Raiders of the Ark" line. The hairstyle and dress are near perfect, and the sculpt of Allen's face is great thanks to the coloring in the figure's eyes. Recreating the scene where she keeps snakes at bay while trapped in an underground chamber was a bit challenging, given the awkward articulation of the figure's legs. Also, while the dress is made of soft plastic, it is difficult to pose the character bending forward. It's hard to nitpick, though, since this is such a nice figure otherwise.
